What is Barrucoin?

Barrucoin is a DeFi (decentralized finance) project with a strong environmental mission: to help protect and preserve forests.

The name “Barru” means oak in Kurdish. Oak trees, which dominate the forest cover in the Zagros region, are not only essential to the ecosystem but also hold deep cultural and spiritual significance for the communities living in these mountains. These forests have sustained life in the region for centuries, providing vital resources and contributing to the planet’s ecological balance.

We decided to create this cryptocurrency to draw people’s attention to the preservation of forests around the world. Additionally, 10% of the coin’s supply is dedicated to protecting forests and supporting environmental and humanitarian projects.
Barrucoin was created to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect forests and promote sustainable practices.
